You will learn about the origins of UX design and be able to produce a timeline of the history of human-computer interaction (HCI). You will learn how UX design is applied, its benefits, and be able to differentiate between good and bad UX design. We’ll also outline potential career paths within UX design.
You will learn about the user-centred design (UCD) process and be able to formulate a problem statement. You will develop an understanding of the lean UX process and design-thinking approach, and be able to apply these to a given scenario.
You will learn about the difference between user research and usability testing, and about qualitative and quantitative research, and user research methods. You will learn how to conduct a usability test and will develop the knowledge and skills to create an empathy tool.
