Netcom Training Secures £380,000 to Deliver Digital Skills Bootcamps Across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough

Midlands-based training and bootcamp provider Netcom Training has secured more than £380,000 from the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority (CPCA) to deliver digital courses in the region.

The IT training provider, who already provides digital skills courses across the West Midlands, Greater London and the North of England, will start running Skills Bootcamps from September 2023. The online 12-week courses will be open to applicants in the region over the next year.

The part-time short courses offer modules in a range of skills including Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Infrastructure Technician and Digital Marketing and are part of an ongoing arrangement between Netcom Training and Combined Authorities across the country. They are available to those aged 19 years and over who are living in the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough area and are open to everyone with a focus on supporting individuals from priority groups.

Kevin Vashi, Director of Netcom Training, said; “We are delighted to begin working with the CPCA as we upskill future learners in the key digital skills that will help elevate them in their careers and drive the local economy.”

Netcom have so far securedmore than £8.5m in devolved Adult Education Budget (AEB) and Free Courses for Jobs (FCFJ) funding to provide training in different specialities over the next five years.
