Here at Netcom Training we have secured more than £850,000 from the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) to deliver courses in the region.

The part-time online courses offer modules in a range of skills including Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Infrastructure Technician and Digital Marketing and are part of an ongoing arrangement between Netcom Training and Combined Authorities across the country. Free at the point of the trainee, they are available to those aged 19 years and over who are living in the Greater Manchester area and are open to everyone, in particular those individuals from underserved communities.

The new contract demonstrates Netcom’s commitment to putting roots down in Manchester as a centre of digital talent. It will create more opportunities for learners in the region to upskill or retrain in new disciplines and provide a pool of skilled professionals for local businesses.

Kevin Vashi, Director of Netcom Training, said;

“Manchester has a rich heritage in innovation, and it is arguably the north star for digital talent. We are proud to be working with the combined authority to deliver our range of courses to learners and look forward to creating a home for Netcom in the city.”

Representative from GMCA said:

Netcom have so far secured £8.5m in devolved Adult Education Budget (AEB) and Free Courses for Jobs (FCFJ) funding to provide training in different specialities over the next five years across the UK.
